Acupuncture

Background 

Traditional Chinese medicine has been used in the east for thousands of years.  It is a whole system of medicine which was for primary health care.  Qi or vital energy travels throughout the body on a network of meridians.  Good health is maintained by allowing this energy to flow freely.  Acupuncture taps into the bodies source of qi by inserting fine needles.  This helps to clear blockages and alleviate conditions in order to restore a natural balance.  The flow of qi can be disturbed by many factors including emotional stress, environmental factors, weather conditions, diet, hereditary factors, infections and trauma.  Acupuncture treats the whole person in order to recover the equilibrium between body, emotion, and spiritual mental aspects of a person.  Patients often say that they feel better within themselves after treatment.

Diagnosis and Treatment
